I went to the Purlescence open day yesterday and bought some lovely yarn from Jeni . I wanted some DK weight to make gloves for A. Also bought a couple other skeins - one DK weight one chunky - probably for gloves and a hat for me. We need more woolly things for all this dog walking!
I cast on A's gloves last night - I'm using 'Ringwood Gloves' from Knitty. Making the medium size but without the cuff on the pattern. I cast on 44sts and did a twisted 1x1 rib instead. Really like how quickly these are knitting up. I must knit with thicker yarn more often. It's very satisfying to make quick progress sometimes!
