It's super hot today – about 32C!
Today we took a bus into Santa Ponsa to check out where A's hotel was (he's here to do a one week OU course called 'Observing the Universe' which takes place at the Observatory) and to have a look round. We had a light lunch at Bobby's Bar (lots of the bars and restaurants in this area are owned and run by English folk) and then wandered back along the bus route in the direction of our apartment. We saw some amazing Hibiscus plants along the way. They are like small trees here! The bourganvillia are just gorgeous too. We stopped off at 'Little Beach' and dipped a toe in the sea (well, we sat on a rock with our feet in the water for a while to cool off!) and then caught the bus back 'home'.
We had a dip in the pool when we got back – I'm sure the water was quite warm but it felt really cold when I first got in! The place where we are staying is more of a residential area than a holiday complex. There are some nice communal areas where you can sit under the shade of a palm tree and the gardens are nicely kept.
