Natalie over at The Yarn Yard has declared Monday the day for blogging about stuff we've made. I meant to join in last week but I forgot :-(
Anyway - today I had intended to make a start on a quilt (having been inspired by my 2 days atthe Festival of Quilts at the weekend!). I got out the fabric I want to use and looked and measured and tried to decide what to do. I came to the conclusion that I don't have enough fabric to make the size quilt I want so I put it to one side and got my crochet out instead and made a bit of progress on the squares for a blanket I'm making for a friend. It's going to be big and it's probably going to take me a long time. The colours remind me of Neopolitan Ice Cream. It's just these three colours, plus cream which will be used to join them all together. I'm going to mix up the order of the 3 colours. My friend chose them. I've made 10 so far - only 170 to go. Oh dear! The pattern is 'Summer Garden Granny Square' from attic24 and the yarn is Drops Cotton Light from Garnstudio. I'm enjoying working with this yarn - it has the nice feel of cotton but it's not too heavy.
